The P85D amazes this woman. I don't really blame her... Look at how quickly that scenery passes by.

It's quick but its not as fast as people hype it up to be; imo.

I don't know what you're talking about. And neither does Elon.

0-60 is fast as hell. And that might freak me out too if I wasn't expecting it.

The P85D will do 60 in 3.2. I'm guessing that the car had a bit of a numb feel?

Mid 80's, a friend of mine bought a Mitsubishi Starion with all the trimmings. We went for a ride in the hills outside the Bay Area, CA and I remember being impressed with the seat G's. Running at about 80 through little roads that weren't designed for 80, on one straight section he said, "You know ABS brakes?" I said no. He went to full mash.
First thought, as I wiped the blood from my nose, was that I'd just experienced an earthly manifestation of the Dark Star star drive.
Total Super Fun.

Based on the characteristics of an electric engine, and the videos of it leaping off the line against exotics before being reined in, it's probably the 0-40 or so launch that shocks people, but then you keep accelerating and it drops off (relative to its power level). So you go from "WOW" to "meh", or the opposite of a high-strung turbo car.
